At a time when the world celebrates progress, equality, and empowerment, Afghan women stand as a painful reminder that these aspirations remain unfulfilled. Under the brutal rule of the Taliban, the fundamental rights of Afghan women have been denied entirely

Through these messages, Afghan women share their experiences, struggles, and unwavering resilience, urging the world to listen. Their humanity is undeniable, their fight for equality is ongoing, and their voices deserve to be heard.

Why These Messages Matter

For many women around the world, International Women’s Day is a time of reflection, achievement, and progress. But for Afghan women, it is a day of resistance.

  • Millions of Afghan girls are denied education, their dreams crushed before they can take flight.

  • Women who once led businesses, worked in offices, and contributed to society have been erased from public life.

  • Brave activists and protestors who demand basic rights face imprisonment, torture, and exile.

  • Afghan women are not just victims. They are fighters. They continue to educate themselves in secret, they resist, they write, they speak. And today, they call upon the world: Do not forget us.

The struggle of Afghan women is not just a national issue, it is a global test of our shared humanity. The world once pledged to stand for women's rights, yet today, Afghanistan is the only country where girls are banned from education and women are completely stripped of public life. How can we, as a global community, accept this?

We urge policymakers, activists, human rights defenders, and the international community to Amplify Afghan women’s voices. Do not let their cries for justice go unheard. Advocate for their right to education and work. Economic isolation and political indifference will only push them further into darkness. Stand in solidarity. Women’s rights are human rights—Afghan women deserve the same freedom and dignity as women everywhere.

Afghan Women Are Still Standing

Despite every restriction, every ban, and every form of oppression, Afghan women refuse to be erased. Their fight is far from over.

This International Women’s Day, we honor their strength, courage, and resilience. We pledge to continue raising their voices, reminding the world that Afghan women exist, they resist, and they will not be silenced.

Stand with Afghan women. Support their fight. Be their voice.
